You know, when dealing with the seventies, it's easy to make fun of the fashion. Too easy. So with this entry, I'm not going to focus on the fashion. It's admittedly questionable, but it's not the weirdest thing going on with this ad. No, seriously make the jump and see!

There's a reason that The Amazing Race has won an Emmy the last six years in a row it's frikkin awesome, and my favorite competitive reality show on the air. It's sometimes amusing, other times frustrating, but always entertaining.
Sunday night was the premiere of the 13th season of The Amazing Race, and we were introduced to the 11 teams and watched as they all took of for Brazil, getting overdramatic at the airport, shuffled through some crowded streets and tested their fear of heights before one of them was eliminated. With eleven teams, some didn't even get much play beyond an introduction, so it's hard for me to pick a favorite. But I already know who I hate the most! (Which means they'll be in the final three...)
If you're not watching, why aren't you? Check out my recap of the episode after the jump. And if you are watching, check out the recap anyway and see if you agree with my first impressions of the teams. The adventure begins after the jump!

This muscle guy is clearly in good shape. But how did he get this way? Probably by eating right and going to a gym and lifting weights every hour he wasn't doing something else. I can certainly tell you he didn't get into that shape by using the exercise device you'll find after the jump!

From the cropped sample image to the right, you can already tell that this week's entry is going to be a print ad for Diet 7UP. The catch to this one is the pair of celebrities doing the hawking. See, there's nothing inherently weird or funny about this ad aside from the completely mismatched endorsers. Make the jump to see what I mean!

Doesn't she look lovely? Of course she does she's in an advertisement. And as everyone knows, you never look as good as the model in the picture when you wear the same outfit. Whether it's Photoshop, professional styling or even just good lighting, models will always turn out better than real people. It's their job. But this dress, in particular, has a very unique feature that will ensure that it would never look as good in real life as it does in this photo.
Go on and make the jump to see what I'm talking about!

See, now if Jessica Simpson had just eaten Star-Kist tunafish, she wouldn't have been so confused as to whether it was tuna or chicken in the can. Of course, this advertising campaign from 1960 is still kind of confusing to me. Go ahead and make the jump and see if you agree...

Fashion is very subjective. One man's trash can be another man's treasure. And what's great about this ad is that it's not even supposed to be about the outfit, but that's really all you can see. Make the jump and find out what I mean!

Three years after the sad demise of the TV adaptation of Stella, Michael Ian Black and Michael Showalter may be returning to Comedy Central with a new sketch comedy project called Michael and Michael Have Issues. Josh Pais (who, weirdly, I only recognize as that creepy gynecologist in Teeth) has also joined the cast.

Look at that happy couple, so in love. But from that shot you can't really tell what it is. Painting? Sculpture? Trust me when I tell you that you won't be able to guess. So just make the jump, and prepare to be a little creeped out!

Why just look at this chipper little fellow. Doesn't his plaid shirt make him look rugged? Yeah, I didn't think so, either. So I guess the only real question left is if the guy is a bottom or a top, if you know what I mean and I think you do.
Oh come on it's not as dirty as you think. Make the jump and see what I mean!

Looking back at some of the egregious wardrobe choices in the '60s and '70s is always good for a laugh, but you know, hair and makeup changed just as much over the decades, and can sometimes be even weirder.
Like this Max Factor ad you're going to find after the break. Warning: Very girly pink ahead!

Oh dear. Look at this poor fellow. He's styled very '70s, isn't he? The shaggy hair, full beard, gold chains and cheesy sunglasses. It's just all so very unfortunate.
But as bad as his head is, wait until you see what he's wearing after the jump!
And girls who like girls who like stuff!
